Souvenir Stand on the song:
"It's what I hope comes across as a modern take on a classic summer song, something out of the early catalog of the Beach Boys or a girl group inspired pop song of the 1960s. The elements I use to pay homage to are there, but the heart of the song is a very personal one as I try to give my modern spin on the sound, I wrote it right after graduating college, temporarily living back at my parents house in the middle of no where for the summer trying to find a real job close to the NYC, do music, and get my life on track. So while I was panicking and far from my friends, I wrote a nostalgic song that represented each person I missed and all the good times we had together and that no matter what the future held for me at least I had those days and nights to hold on to and try to cheer myself up. Luckily things worked out very quickly for me by about July of the same summer...but by creating my own nostalgia of the past few years of my life by way of the nostalgic sounds of the 1960s it got me through a time of uncertainty."
